Last updated: October 7, 2026. Applies to CR+ 1.5.2.
CR+ is an independent extension for customizing the Crunchyroll website. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Crunchyroll. Contact: desarrollo.juan.crespin@gmail.com.
CR+ processes relevant Crunchyroll page content: anime and episode titles and identifiers, images, page language, playback position, catalogue availability and the Continue Watching list. It does not request general access to browser browsing history.
To query personalized content and perform user-requested mark-as-watched actions, code inside the page detects authorization headers in requests made by Crunchyroll during the user's signed-in session. Authorization stays temporarily in page memory; it is not persisted in extension storage or sent to rating providers, filler providers or the developer. CR+ does not request or store passwords. An account identifier is used for the corresponding Crunchyroll requests.
CR+ stores language, playback and appearance preferences; seasonal filters; locally hidden or marked-as-watched show identifiers; cached ratings, titles and classifications; and local operational diagnostics. These remain in browser storage, not a developer-operated server. CR+ currently has no account synchronization.
Caches have expiry dates. Preferences and local lists remain until changed, storage is cleared or CR+ is uninstalled. Resetting settings does not necessarily delete every cache or local list.
Requests use HTTPS and originate from your device. Destination services may receive technical connection information including your IP address, and apply their own privacy policies. CR+ does not transmit Crunchyroll authorization or a complete personal viewing history to rating or filler providers.
Information is used only to provide the described CR+ features. The developer does not automatically receive usage information. The extension does not sell personal data or include advertising, advertising tracking or developer analytics. CR+'s use and transfer of information comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Features can be enabled or disabled in settings. Hide only affects the local CR+ list. Mark show as watched changes Crunchyroll account progress. Uninstalling removes extension storage but does not reverse actions already performed on Crunchyroll; use Crunchyroll's controls to manage those states.
If you email support, the developer receives your sender address and information you choose to send and uses it to respond. Do not send passwords, authorization headers or session tokens. This policy will be updated when data handling changes. Contact desarrollo.juan.crespin@gmail.com for privacy or support questions.
